Expressed as two isoforms produced by alternative splicing, TSPEAR contains one Thrombospondin N-terminal domain and seven EAR (epilepsy-associated repeat) domains. EAR domains are found in several proteins, including TSPEAR, encoded by genes that map within chromosome regions associated with seizure disorders.
