This gene encodes a complex I assembly factor. Mutations in this gene cause progressive encephalopathy resulting from mitochondrial complex I deficiency. Function: Acts as a molecular chaperone for mitochondrial complex I assembly. Subunit: Mitochondrion. Subcellular Location: Highly expressed in ESCC cells.
